The AD CREATE Days
I recently unearthed a diskette with scanned pictures of what I've been doing in college, and I just couldn't resist posting this GA pic of AD CREATE Society. Back then, any activity would not push thru without a creative theme, (hey, we were the advertising guys of the university, after all!) . Too bad I wasn't able to scan the one with the Hawaiian theme-classic! I really miss these guys..including Marlon, whom we nicknamed Tiyo Marl for some unremembered reason. Perhaps it was the way he absentmindedly said "Sige, sige, sige." when you'd suggest an idea? Anyways, I'm so proud of my ACS days..Stretched to the limit talaga..Imagine me going from one building to the next looking for a free classroom and having all those activities approved while eating lunch pa! I never thought I could handle leadership position until I was pushed by necessity..
I think this is where She and I became close, we shared the org's problems..hehe..and OP also, gosh I miss her posters..which was almost always, supervised by Roni..and if we needed extra helping hands, the Bulilits will be there, and of course, the batch ahead of us, spearheaded by Tiyo Alf..And who would forget Sex Bulb? (He was supposed to be the mascot of the org, a major collaboration between Tiyo Marl and Sol, born around the time when Tom Jones's Sex Bomb song was being popularized). And the meeting place? Ang tambayan, of course!! Second floor Medrano Hall! If you're new and wondering which side is AD CREATE's, just look for the kalat- from boards to cartolinas to posters to documents..
Imagine.Create.Achieve. I used to think that was a really solid tagline for us, and excuse me, that was ours even before Starstruck came up with Dream.Believe.Survive. I still do, and I wish I could see everyone again..haha...next project AD CREATE reunion!!!
