Gone for My Birthday Weekend!

Blessed! It was as though everything fell into place just so this birthday Baguio weekend would push through.

Evidence #1 - SCHEDULE

Nico was on semestral break and Olive easily applied for two days of vacation leave. I was scheduled for a rest day on the 12th, a leave on the 13th. When I requested for an extension of the VL until Sunday, it was easily granted. As for Mommy, there was no problem. She even called on Tita Sun to accompany us, whose schedule fit in perfectly with ours.

Evidence #2 - LOGISTICS

Lodging was at Betania Retreat House, and Sister Oxy was real friendly and hospitable (so unlike some nuns I've known!). Transportation was fixed with the ever dependable Manuel, and the Victory tickets bought in advance. Baguio transpo was way cool with the abundance of FX's, and Alex, the FX driver, was good enough to be the tour guide.

Evidence #3 - WEATHER

Generally, the weather was great for strolling, with the exception of the rainy afternoon on my birthday. I'm fine with that. I have this unproven theory that it always has to rain on my birthday. Otherwise, how else could we have, not just one, but two rainbows, seen just outside our room?

It was a great bonding experience amidst keychains, strawberries, and the Baguio plant and animal life. Tita Sun turned out to be a fun companion (who would have thought there's an artist in her?), and as I've always said, nothing beats celebrating with the family.

God has been so good!
