To Tagaytay and Back

Today will go down as one of the best days, and I therefore conclude...
good company + great scenery+ a digital camera = GOOD TIMES!!!
It started with the trail..

All smiles, pretending we weren't so darn tired.. We didn't even pay for this cottage...

Us girls: Sol, Lhet, me, Thegie, and Anne

That's what a candid shot is for us: the raising of the arms!

Guess where we ended up after a long, tiring day? To the mall, of course!

Christmas 2006

Nico said it was the best Christmas in years, and I agree. After several years, the yuletide season seemed brighter at the Torres household. My favorite part? Seeing my gifts were appreciated! I gave sis a necklace with a locket (with pictures na of our familly!), bro a pair of shorts, and mum a blouse (the last two fit well!). So I guess it all comes down to this: no matter how difficult this year was, nothing, and I mean NOTHING beats Christmas with the family.

A meaningful season y'all!

Wedding Preps

I didn't realize it was so costly to get married nowadays. Imagine spending P40 grand for gowns alone? And that's just one in a list of a million other things that need to be prepared! Goodness! This would never have crossed my mind (at least not for a considerable amount of time) had I not been invited to Iryn's wedding. Which, I'm so touched about!

That's me and Roche being briefed by Iryn re: her wedding

I think I'm pretty good in organizing stuff, with or without a written checklist. Add that to the fact that I could get mighty cranky at times when things don't go my way (haha, ask those who work with me). Honestly, IF (and that's a great accent on the IF!) time comes when I have to prepare for a wedding of my own, I think I'd do well. I envision it's gonna be one great party...Plus I already have cost saving plans:

1. What bridal car? I'm gonna drive myself in our tundra green adventure!!!
2. Photographers? haha..I have connections!
3. Video? No prob!
4. Music? Mum and friends can sing!
5. Hosts? I've got plenty!
6. Flowers? Ay..that's not yet covered..better start planting now...

Hahaha..did I say party? WIth all these, circus is what I could have meant...hahaha..

Me, Myself, and Irene!!!

Flowers!!!

I determinedly stopped at the flower stalls on the way home from Tagaytay to buy flowers for Daddy's birthday. Suffice it to say that even though it was I who had the intention of buying, almost everyone in the car (with the exception of Alicia, I wonder why..) ended up buying flowers for herself. Never mind that the traffic enforcer was shooing us away, or that them boys left us already, we had colorful gerberas! Yep, gerberas, not daisies! Another new thing we learned today! There actually is a difference. Didn't know flowers can also be so complicated! I had a red one (which surprisingly, is still beautiful after four days!) and I bought white Malaysian mums for Daddy.

Getting into the Spirit

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...

With barely 20 days to go before Christmas, I finally finished decorating our tree, and, modesty aside, it looks awesome!!! Mum chose the colors: silver and red. We bought the ribbons and extra balls ages ago. The flowers, lights, and other stuff, they're recycled from last year. What's more, I get to create a mistletoe out of the extra decors..cool!

What can I say? I would have made Ry (my mentor and creative consultant) proud. And of course, that Divisoria trip with him, MJ, JOP and ROR paid well!

An Advanced Merry Christmas, y'all!
