In Hindsight

It's amazing sometimes how it takes something like sore eyes to give you a fresh perspective on things. Clouded my vision might be these past five days , I did enjoy the general lack of stress. Although, I might say, for a couple of days, being unable to open my eyes without excruciating pain, I really doubted my eye medicine.
Cliche as it may sound, realizing that pain did not kill you really gives you a better assessment of your strength. As for me, I realized that I do not have to be so bothered by a lot of things; I do not have to let them all affect me. In fact, I am now choosing to be less sensitive to what I might face when I get back. Call it being numb, but that's how I prefer it these days.
